Almost a year ago, I started our dogs on gluten free dog food, mostly for my own benefit. I wanted to remove as many gluten containing products from our house as possible to limit my exposure. At that time, we had three dogs, now we have four. I never said I wasn’t crazy.

Back to the dogs. The oldest is Slugs, she just turned 14 years old this September. She is an old black lab that lays around the house and wakes up to eat, goes outside, then back to sleep. A Gluten Free Adventure in Vancouver, WA and Portland, OR

Several months ago, I purchased tickets for the July 11th THE POLICE and Elvis Costello concert at the Clark County Amphitheater, just north of Vancouver, WA. My lovely husband, Brad and I drove up to Portland from Corvallis after work. We planned to eat dinner at Andina, a fabulous restaurant that my 12 year old daughter, Hannah and I ‘discovered’ a few weeks earlier. Saturday, January 10th from 10 am- NOON

Saturday, February 7th from 1 pm- 3 pm

Saturday, March 7th from 1 pm- 3 pm

Each class will review the basics of gluten intolerance and celiac disease, current information and resources.

Class Fee is $40.00 per person.  Pre-registration is strongly recommended.

Brad Loveland will teach you how to make Gluten Free Pies for the Holidays!

Firefighter for 26 years + Baker for 46 years = Mighty Fine Pies!!!!

Class will be held:

  • Sunday, November 23rd, 2008 from 1pm - 3pm
  • at 845 NW Antelope Pl., Corvallis, Oregon

Brad will teach how to get a gluten free kitchen, mix the flours, roll out the pie dough, review of ingredients and mixes available, creating the filling and using alternative ingredients when necessary. Brad will have handouts for recipes and recommendations for cookbooks. Come join the fun and learn to make wonderful pies.

You will make pies and then eat them! The best part.

Come with questions and a hunger for THE BEST PIES- gluten free or not!
